Quick update about where we’re at currently.

Dear Gaming Enthusiasts and Proxima Community,

Excuse our lack of communication the last couple of weeks. Don’t worry planet Proxima has been in orbit as usual – with lots of work continuing to make Warship Jolly Roger a game that will win the hearts of gamers worldwide. We’re back with our latest newsletter with a quick update of where we’re at currently!

What's New at Proxima?

The big news over the last week or so is that the team have upgraded to Unreal Engine 5.4. This move allows us to keep pushing the boundaries of the capabilities of our game and gives all the latest animations to work with making for a smoother and more beautiful gaming experience. The user interface should make using the Unreal engine more intuitive than ever. This paired with our collaboration with NVIDIA means we fully expect to give the players a visual experience that finds itself hand-in-hand with the new tech.

Author Sylvain Runberg has developed a script for the first level of the game and it’s a brilliant insight into what Warship Jolly Roger can become in this iteration with lots of crossover appeal. We can all begin to see what attracted Harvey to this work and why it works so well for the medium.

The team has expanded a little more with a new addition to our sound team, great news for our audio designer Kyle Murdock, it also frees up more time for other members of the team to focus on visuals which is a win-win for us. We welcome Jason on board the good ship.
